Are you acquainted with him at all? Because, to be honest, I sort of suspect he's up to something and I'd like to tag along for the first shift, at least.

If he comes in and he reeks or is filthy, don't be shy about turning him away. I haven't pushed him too hard on that at this point, but when he's making food for the whole ship, it's different.

I'll attend the first couple shifts, help out, and then come by randomly as long as this spell of wanting to help lasts.

Oh, if he's dirty, I'm not letting him anywhere near food. I'm not going to be responsible for the Great Barge Food Poisoning.

She wouldn't want to impugn another warden's competence also.] But please do watch him closely. I don't trust this sudden spate of helpfulness.
