[It's a fairly rare occurrence that Andred actually seeks Marty out. But today, it seems, is one of those days. Or at least it is if the knock on Marty's door is any sort of indication.]

[Andred doesn't - quite - look frassled, when he comes in, but there's definitely a sense that he's had to put up with a lot, recently.]

I think it wants you.

["It" in this case being the egg he's carrying.]

Ok, give it here.

[He reaches out for the egg.]

Is it giving you trouble?

Not really?

[Not anymore than he would expect anything similarly small and psychicly-inclined would, anyway.   But he hands over the egg all the same, at Marty's request.]

It's just being... insistent.

Huh.

[Once it's in his hands, he starts feeling a strange tugging in the back of his head, until he cuddled it closer. Then it changed into a cooing.]

It's still weird for me.

What, the way it communicates?

[It's not strange to him. But he could see how it might be for Marty.]

Yeah. I'm not used to psychic stuff.

[notwhoiwas]

It's common enough back home? But it took Leela a while to get used to it, too.

My wife. [Beat.] Ex-wife.

[all_hart]

Oh. Sorry. If I stepped in something, asking.

You didn't. But I thought she would have been in my file?

It probably is. I remember that you have an ex-wife, but not who she is.

I could tell you about her some day?

[If it's something that might be of interest to Marty, anyway.]

[all_hart]

Sure. We can trade ex-wife stories.

[He's not being sarcastic. Maybe it'll help both of them.]

After whatever happens with these, maybe?

[He doesn't mind talking about Leela, much. But he has a feeling it might not be the most ideal topic while in the company of a still-developing psychic entity.]

Yeah, getting the egg hatched first is probably best.

[They can sense emotions, right? No point in stressing it out.]

Exactly. Besides, it gives us both time to...get ready for it?

[In case that's something that either of them should happen to need.]

Yeah, that's a good idea, too.

[He's definitely got some sore spots about Maggie, still.]

[There's a pause, and then:]

Do you want me to stay for a bit?

[In case the egg wants both of them for a while.]

[all_hart]

If you don't mind? It beats me running after you if the egg gets mad.

[It's sitting quietly in his arms right now, but who knows how long that'll last.]

[notwhoiwas]

I don't.

[There's not really anything else he needs to do immediately and while he might still be a little awkward about what to do in situations like this, he wouldn't have brought it up if he hadn't been willing to stay.]

[all_hart]

Ok. Want to watch a movie or something?

[He waves one hand at the pile of DVDs on the coffee table, then puts the egg on the couch, making sure it's comfortable.]

[He's not really going to be familiar with most of them, but it's something to do.]
