[It takes a moment or three before Andred manages to get the communicator working the way he wants it to. Despite being used to a wide variety of physical changes thanks to the Barge, paws are still not really ideal for using a communicator.]

I'd like this better if we were still ourselves.

[It's mostly complaining for the sake of complaining. But the fact that he's actually initiating something like a conversation is still a start.]

The day he gets out of Zero, the first thing Billy does is find Marty's cabin and knock on the door, looking to collect his dog.

Is it all right with you if I disassemble a gym machine or two for parts? I'd like to make a lock for my cabin door, and for anyone else who wants one. And it's that or the washing machines, and I'd rather people continued to be able to wash their clothes.

[ After a markedly long absence from...virtually everything, other than rushing in and out of the dining hall with nary a word, this arrives about midday. ]

[It's a fairly rare occurrence that Andred actually seeks Marty out. But today, it seems, is one of those days. Or at least it is if the knock on Marty's door is any sort of indication.]

[Her voice sounds a bit tired and drawn, but ultimately this is said in an ultra-friendly tone better reserved for catching up with an old friend than catching up with someone you briefly spoke to on the deck once.]
